In the SalzburgerLand, Farm Holidays promise summer getaways the way they are supposed to be. Not least because you can tailor the whole experience just the way you like it. When you come down for breakfast, you will be greeted by homemade farmhouse bread and home-churned butter, jam, sausage, eggs from the farm’s own hens, along with milk from the cow in the barn. Afterwards, it will be time to head out on a hike or bike ride, go golfing, pick berries or simply stretch out on the bench in front of the house with a good book, sipping on a glass of freshly pressed fruit juice. Your children can play with the cat, get to know the calf and look forward to when it’s time for us to grill up something very special for dinner.
But of course, your day might also look quite different. Pressed-cheese dumplings instead of bacon, “rabbit ears” with sauerkraut instead of funnel cakes, while a thunderstorm might block out the sunshine for a little while. But there are plenty of constants as well: the grassy mountainsides will always be a lush green or high-alpine in character. The lakes remain as clear as glass, while the mountain streams babble merrily towards the valley below.
What a wonderful world this is. You will see and feel it as the warm rain lands upon your cheek. As the beautiful broad skies are mirrored in your smile. As you run through the forests, stroll through the valleys and enjoy memorable moments with your family.
